The Program
Kindergarten
The program is made up of various subjects allowing the child to develop their abilities in a complete and balanced way: French, arithmetic, notions of space, drawing, singing, crafts, sports, etc., without forgetting the catechism taught once a week.
Normally, most of our students begin their studies at the age of 5.
Primary School
The elementary cycle aims to help students from first to sixth grades to acquire the solid foundations they will need for the rest of their studies.
The main subjects are:
French:
Based on classic textbooks, it is based on:

written expression through composition;

oral expression through poetry, recitation and oral presentation;

mastery of grammar and spelling through regular rule analysis and words. (Regular dictations allow the opportunity to apply and assess learned material)
Mathematics:
Based on the Singapore method, students aquire an understanding in:

arithmetic;
- geometry;
- statistics;
-
problem solving.
History and Geography:
The whole span of Canadian and Québec history is taught in the elementary cycle.
English:
Students learn to speak and write in proper English with the goal that they be functional in the English language.
Catechism:
Taught weekly, the catechism allows students to learn the basics of the Catholic Faith and to prepare for the sacraments.
Along with these main subjects, students will receive lessons in:
- Art, which will develop in each student the sense and value of beauty.
- Science, which will introduce primary scientific principles through examples and concrete demonstrations.
- Music, which teaches the rudiments of solfege, musical notation, and choral singing. Great composers and their works, musical instruments complete the musical education of our students.
- Sports, in order to develop and maintain physical aptitude.
High School
High school includes classes from grades 7 to 12 aiming at attaining the French baccalaureate*.
Along with the above, topics are expanded to:
French:
Further development of literature by reading and writing texts.
Rhetoric, which gives students the opportunity to analyze a speech, and express themselves clearly and organize their thoughts methodically.
Mathematics:
- Algebra;
- Graphing;
- Trigonometry;
- Logic.
History:
This course is developed and extended to the history of France and of civilization in general.
Litterature:
The study of the great works of litterature.
English:
An in-depth look at the principles acquired in the primary school curriculum.
Science:
- Physics;
- Chemistry;
- Biology.
Art:
- The history of art.
Music:
- Polyphonic choral singing; music history, solfege, music theory and introduction to gregorian chant.
Latin:
- The fundamentals of Latin;
- Latin culture and civilization.
