CHARTER OF école Notre-Dame du Mont Carmel

Principles

Given that :

  • The purpose of the existence of every man is to go to Heaven
  • The modern world leads the majority of souls to eternal perdition
  • There is a great need for heroes and saints to reverse this trend
  • Grace builds on nature without replacing it
  • School is a necessary means to elevate nature and prepare it for grace
  • Traditional teaching and educational methods are more suitable to our nature
  • It’s through a love of children that educators have the greatest influence on them (Plus Potuit, quia Plus Amavit).

Our logo represents both a stained glass window which recalls our attachment to Catholic culture and its wonders as well as a fleur-de-lys which highlights our love of French culture.

Vision :

École Notre-Dame du Mont Carmel seeks to elevate souls to Heaven by educating the will, the intelligence, and the heart.

Motto :

Truth

Beauty

Valour

Pedagogical Principles :

Under the gaze of God and in an intrinsically Catholic spirit, prepare the child for true freedom through classical training and the development of virtues. At NDMC, all activities are oriented to inspire students to love: :

  • God
  • Others
  • The Church
  • Truth
  • Hard Work
  • Work well done
  • Order and beauty

The School and its artisans :

To make this sublime mission possible, the artisans of the school, chaplains, administrators, professors and benefactors, aware of their misery, seek to live, for the love of God, an ideal of heroic service illustrated by these immortal words of Blessed Father Brottier: :

  • To serve is to not be me
  • To not be mine
  • To have almost no rights
  • To have only duties

Administrators :

Following Father Brottier, the administrators :
